Schmitt Management owns and operates 12 McDonald's restaurants across the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We employ over 600 people across our locations and corporate office.
Schmitt Management is a privately held McDonald's franchisee. Our 12 locations serve communities including Naperville, Oswego, Aurora, and the surrounding western suburbs of Chicago. We are not a public-facing e-commerce business — this website serves as our corporate information page and the public-facing reference for our internal communications practices.
Day-to-day operations are managed by general managers at each restaurant, overseen by area supervisors and the ownership team. Our corporate functions — payroll, accounting, IT, and people operations — are centralized at the corporate office.
To coordinate across 12 restaurants and 600+ employees, we operate an internal operations platform that handles task assignment, complaint tracking, manager dashboards, and internal communications. The platform is used only by our W-2 employees and managers; it is not accessible to customers or the general public.
Schmitt Management sends operational SMS text messages to our managers, supervisors, and corporate staff. These messages include:
We do not send marketing, promotional, or consumer-facing text messages of any kind. We do not text customers. We do not share recipient phone numbers with third parties.
Recipients of our SMS communications are W-2 employees of Schmitt Management. During onboarding, each manager provides their mobile phone number on an employee information form and signs an acknowledgement that includes the following language:
A signed copy of this acknowledgement is retained in each employee's human-resources file.
Any recipient may opt out at any time by replying STOP to
any message received from us. This will immediately end all SMS
communications from Schmitt Management. To opt back in, reply

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on operational activity, but is typically less than 10 messages per recipient per week.
For our internal operations platform, we collect: employee name, role, work email, mobile phone number, restaurant assignment, and work-related performance metrics. We do not collect personal financial information, government identifiers, health information, or any data unrelated to the employee's work with Schmitt Management.
We use the information collected solely to operate our business: assigning tasks, routing communications, tracking restaurant-level performance, and meeting our obligations as a McDonald's franchisee. We do not use this information for marketing of any kind.
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS communications are stored in our internal operations database and are used only to send the operational messages described above. We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS message content to any third party for marketing or any other purpose. Mobile data is processed by our SMS service provider (Salesmsg) solely to deliver the messages we send; Salesmsg's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Employee data is retained for the duration of employment plus the period required by applicable employment-records regulations. SMS message records are retained for operational and audit purposes.
